29 March 1999: License Plates
Miles: 1650
Well, I learned alot from making this purchase a "cash" deal. I received
from Cherry Creek Dodge via certified snail-mail all my papers along
with a check. It seems that on a cash deal on a vehicle NOT purchased
in the county for which you live that the dealer by law cannot collect
taxes other than state.
So, I head on over to the DMV, hand them all the papers, sign over the
check from Cherry Creek Dodge and write them an additional check and
viola! plates.
I was informed by my wife that if I were to get the "standard" green
plates that I would be sleeping on the porch so I opted for the "denim"
plates we have here in Colorado. They are blue and white.
Colorado DMV has NO sense of humor. They wouldn't approve my personal
plate choice of "MYBIG D". :)
